LEE W. ANDERSON
A Memorial Service for Lee William Anderson, a Novato businessman, will be held at 8 p.m. today at the Presbyterian Church of Novato.
Anderson died Friday when he suddenly became ill while vacationing in Carmel. He was 59.
Anderson, a Novato resident since 1962, was manager of the West Coast Division for the Ace Hardware Co.
A native of Stanley, N.D., Anderson attended Jamestown College and University of Minnesota. He served as a fighter pilot in the Air Force during World War II.
After his discharge, Anderson returned to North Dakota where he joined his father as a partner in an Ace Hardware store.
While living in Stanley, Anderson was president of the Stanley Board of Education and president of the Commercial Club. He also belonged to several veteran's organizations and the Presbyterian Church there.
Anderson was an elder and a member of the Novato Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Doris M. Riewerts Anderson of Novato; a son, Dr. Robert Anderson of Pleasant Hill; a daughter, Georgia Farley of Hayward; a sister, Doris Moe of Los Angeles; a brother, Dr. Allan Anderson of Missoula, Mont.; and four grandchildren.
Private inurnment will be at Cypress Hill Memorial Park, Petaluma. The family prefers that contributions be made to the Heart Association, Presbyterian Church of Novato or to a favorite charity.
