Daughter of Luke and Mary Brennan, was born on a homestead near Lincoln, Nebraska. She was baptized in the Episcopalian faith as a small child and received her education in the Elliot school in Lincoln and also at the University of Nebraska. It was her honor to have Gen. John Pershing as her geometry teacher.

She came to Sherman County in the late 1890's where she taught school for several years near Loup City and Ashton. It was while teaching in this vicinity that she met her husband, Peter Moritz Anderson to whom she was married on March 27, 1902.

Mr. and Mrs. Anderson lived the first six years of their married life in Sherman County and in the spring of 1908, they moved to a farm which they had bought southwest of North Loup in Valley County. In this community they educated their six children. In the spring of 1931, the family moved to the Red Oak Ranch northeast of Elba. At this time Mrs. Anderson joined the Fairdale Methodist Church. In 1946 a home was bought northeast of St. Paul and her church membership was transferred to the First Methodist Church of St. Paul. Mrs. Anderson was a lifetime member of the Fairdale WSCS.

Since the death of her husband, Mrs. Anderson had made her home mostly with her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Scott. Mrs. Anderson fell April 29, 1960, and since that time had been in the hospital or a nursing home all but the month of July when she was with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Baldwin.

Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her sister and a granddaughter.

She was survived by all six of her children: Mrs. Lucy Hoon, Cotesfield; Mrs. Anna Scott, St. Paul; Morris, St. Paul; Mrs. Elvira Stensvad, North Platte; Carl L. of Boise, Idaho and Mrs. Agnes Baldwin, Farwell, nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, a brother William Godfrey, Lincoln.
