MRS. LUCY MOFFETT ANDERS of W Monroe, La., a native of Purvis, died Thurs night Nov 15th at Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans. Mrs. Anders had been ill for seven weeks and a patient at Ochsner for ten days.
She was the wife of Rev. Dan F Anders, pastor of Claiborne Methodist Church in W Monroe. Mrs. Anders was born and reared in Purvis. Her parents and an aunt were killed in the Purvis cyclone and she was raised by her paternal grandmother. She moved from Purvis many years ago.
Services were held at 2 Sun at Claiborne Methodist Church. Burial was in Arcadia, La.
Mrs. Anders is survived by her husband, two sons, Col James Anders, Fort Benning, Ga, and G D Anders of Minden, La, a daughter, Mrs. Roy Wade, Los Angeles; and a brother, George B. Moffett, Mobile.
