In the year 1831, on the 11 April at 9 A.M. before Pierre Birgat, mayor
and civil registrar of Bitschwiller, Canton, Thann, Haut-Rhin, appeared Joseph
Anderhalt age 29 years day laborer resident of here who presented a female
infant born at his home at 7 P.M. of him and his wife, Rose Barna, who was
given the name Caroline. Done in the presence of Jean George Lathringer, age
28 years, caretaker, and Antoine Uplen, age 25 years, both residents here, who
signed as witnesses.
