Alberto Anaya, age 75, passed away on Friday morning, July 18, 2008, following an extended illness.
Alberto Anaya was born January 13, 1933, in Bovina, TX. He was a member of the St. Anne's Catholic Church of Tucumcari.� He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and then became active in the New Mexico National Guard, where he retired from with the rank of Sgt. He was a member of the Veteran's of Foreign War.
�Surviving Alberto Anaya is his wife, Leona Anaya of Tucumcari; three sons, Albert Rey Anaya and wife, Dina of Clovis, NM, Richard Anaya and wife, Veronica of Santa Rosa, NM, and Victor Garcia and wife, Phyllis of Rio Rancho, NM;�his daughter, Suzy Moya and husband, Arthur of Tucumcari; his sisters, Lola Tafoya and husband, Ted of Lovington, NM, Irene Chavez of Albuquerque, NM, Georgia Sanches and husband, Robert of Lubbock, TX, and Delfie Falcon of Albuquerque, NM; one brother, Johnny Lee Anaya and wife, Joann of Belen, NM, along with 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and many friends.
�Rosary will be recited on Monday evening, July 21, 2008, at 7:00 PM in the St. Anne's Catholic Church.� Mass of the Resurrection will be offered on Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM in the St. Anne's Catholic Church with Rev. Father Leo Padget as Celebrant.� Grandsons will serve as pall bearers.� Interment will follow in the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.
