Lindbergh Amyx
(March 30, 1928 - October 11, 2007)

Lindbergh Amyx of West Liberty, KY, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2007, at the U. K. Medical Center, Lexington, KY, at the age of 79 years, 6 months, and 11 days. He was born on March 30, 1928, at Woodsbend, KY, a son of the late James and Flora Cox Amyx.

Lindbergh was united in marriage to Mattie Taulbee. To this union five children were born, Lindy, Gerald, Sherry, Jamie, and Tammy. He served his country in the United States Marines and was a retired communication chief from the military.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mattie Taulbee Amyx; one son, Gerald Amyx; and one son-in-law, Joe Duncan.

He is survived by five children, Lindy J. Amyx and wife Bonnie of FL, Sherry Day and husband Mike of West Liberty, KY, Jamie Duncan of TN, Tammy Perkins and husband Larry of FL, and Amber & Ralph Adams of West Liberty, KY.

Nine grandchildren, Scott, Lindsay, Amber, Kathy Jo, Lindbergh Wilgus, Priscilla, Mikie, Alice Joe, and Williams; three great grandchildren, Alexis, Amyx Joe, and Sage Christian; and two brothers, Jerald Amyx of West Liberty, KY and Bill Joe Amyx of OH; one aunt, Ollie McKinney, West Liberty, KY.

Funeral service 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 14, 2007 at the Potter Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Pelfrey officiating. Burial in the Amyx Cemetery, Hwy 772, West Liberty, KY. Visitation after 6:00 p.m., Saturday, October 13, 2007 at the Potter Funeral Home.

Pallbearers: Jon Lykins, Mike Day, Ralph Adams, Wilgus Amyx, Scott Clinger, and Mikie Day, Tim Conley.

Honorary Pallbearers: Lynn Nickell, Jerald Amyx, Woodrow Stamper, Harold McKinney.
