AMSLER,Caroline--August 16, 1906-
Mrs. Caroline Amsler, wife of the late Peter Amsler, died at her home near St. Petersburg, this county, on Friday, August 3, 1906. Mrs. Amsler was born in St. Petersburg January 26, 1840. She was married to Peter Amsler in 1863 and to them were born eight children, seven of whom survive as follows: Charles, Mariettta, O.; Samuel and Lawrence, St. Petersburg; Mrs. J.W. Vandervoort, Parkersburg, W. Va.; Mrs. C.G. Fish, Cameron, W.Va.; William and Ira at home.
She is also survived by three sisters, one being Mrs. Levi Barlett, Callensburg, and two brothers, Harvey Ritts of St. Petersburg and David Ritts of Oil City. The deceased was a faithful and consistant Christian and was a member of the Lutheran church. Her pastor, Rev. Beck, conducted the funeral services and the interment took place in the St. Petersburg cemetery.
