Cheryl E. "Cherrie" Smith Amsler, 54, of Allegheny Township died Friday (March 15, 2002) in UPMC St. Margaret, Pittsburgh.
Born Aug. 8, 1947, in Natrona Heights, Harrison, she lived in the Valley all of her life.
She worked 15 years as a secretary at the family business, Amsler Auto, Allegheny Township.
Mrs. Amsler was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Natrona Heights.
She enjoyed camping, traveling, watching golf, craft shows and bingo.
Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Harold J. Amsler; four sons, Jim (Teresa) Morrison and Chris Haas of Allegheny Township; Jason Morrison of Washington Township and Corey Amsler at home; and two brothers, Jack S. Smith of Tarentum and Thomas L. Smith of Bristol, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Miriam A. Susuta Smith.
Also surviving are three grandchildren, Kyle Morrison, Desiree Morrison and Caleb Morrison.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday in the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, where services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Paul Chinikidiadi officiating. Burial will be in Mount Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
