Robert Louis Amrine
Robert Louis Amrine, age 82, went to meet his Lord on December 19, 2005, after an extended illness. He resided in Gold Bar, Washington, with his wife, Mary, and was born on October 10, 1923, in Marysville, Ohio.
He was a proud WW II Veteran with the 45th (Thunderbird) Division and 180th Infantry Regiment. He spent His younger 20 years as a retired Erie Lackawanna Railroad tower operator and station agent, then he was a Boeing machinist for 11 years. He was an avid fisherman and loved the great outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Porter D. Amrine and Helen Lucille (Bushman) Amrine; sister, Charlotte Amrine; brothers, James Wesley Amrine, and John (Bushman) Amrine.
He leaves behind a large family including wife, Mary (Stump) Amrine; sisters, Anna Mae (Amrine) Blevins and Helen Lucille (Amrine) Hildreth; children, Rebecca Ziegler, Judy (Larry) Gilkerson, Paul (Candi) Amrine, Gregory (Linda) Amrine, Marsha (Richard) Lopez, Robin (Berna) Amrine, and John (Saundra) Amrine; 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and sisters-in-law, Cathy Amrine and Helen Evans.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 23, 2005, at Purdy & Kerr with Dawson Funeral Home in Monroe, Washington.
