His step-father, Hezekiah Amrine born July 1868 Iowa & his mother, Mary Ann (Moore) Amrine was born November 1864 in Arkansas. 1900 they were farming in Iona, Lyons County, Kansas. They were married about 1891
Charley came to Davenport about 1907 where he had an uncle, Dr Moore. He later came to Harrington where another uncle, John Moore, resided
Charles married Bess B. Froman 14 April 1913 Spokane, Spokane County, Washington. He was a Barber when they married.
He was a Veteran of World War, enlisting in the tank corps of the army in 1918. Tank corpsmen fatalities were high, but Charley preferred to be in a branch of the service which he didn't have to walk. Col Dwight D Eisenhower was his commanding officer. Soon after Charley enlisted the Armistice was signed and he came home
From 1919 to 1920 he worked for Frank Gateley. In 1920 he had his own shop, called the Palm Shop in Harrington. Then in 1925 they moved to Seattle, King County, WA. They lived at Edmonds for a short time, when Mrs. Amrine's father, Tom Froman, lived with them. After his death they returned to Seattle
He died in the Doctor's Hospital in Seattle, where he had been ill about a week.
