Graduated West Point 1932.
Veteran of World War II. Served with the Americal (23rd) Division at Guadalcanal, Bougainville, Green Island, Leyte and Negros. Commanded the 1st Battalion of the 164th Infantry Regiment. Was among the first Americans into and occupying Japan. Owner of TUA III sailing yacht.
