"MILLARD AMOS FOUND DEAD
"Rites Saturday For County Farmer, 77

"Millard Amos, 77, of R.R. 5, was found dead in bed by his wife at his home at 1:50 a.m. today. He had been in poor health for four months.

"Mr. Amos was a farmer in Shelby County all of his life. He was a member of the Lewis Creek Baptist Church, the Farmers Masonic Lodge of Norristown and the Farm Bureau.

"Surviving besides his wife are two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Springer of Washington, D.C., and Miss Emma Amos of Zionsville. A sister, Mrs. Wiley Means, and five brothers preceded in death.

"Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Murphy Mortuary. Rev. Phillip Hodgkin will officiate and burial will be in the Lewis Creek Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 3:30 p.m. Friday."
