At the home of her daughter, Mrs James Harmon, in this city, occurred the death of Mrs Willie Lee Amos Booth, widow of the late Mr James R Booth, who passed away five years ago this month. Mrs Booth's death death early Tuesday morning was said to have been the result of paralysis of which she was stricken only recently.
Mrs Booth was born in Taylor Co., May 1, 1881, the daughter of the late Mr Samuel and Mrs Eliza Eldora Smith Amos and was united in marriage to Mr Jim Booth in early ladyhood.
A devout Christian, Mrs Booth was known to be , she was a faithful member of Union Methodist Church, where funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev J W M Stipe, at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon followed by interment in the church yard in the family lot. Edward's Funeral home was in charge of the arrangements.
Surviving Mrs Booth are the following near relations : three daughters, Mrs James Harmon; Mrs E D Hammock, Mrs Horace Harper; a son, Mr Terrell Booth, a brother, Mr George Amos, of Reynolds, and a sister, Mrs Bessie Downs, of Thomaston.
