Ky. daughter of Jonathan Read and Susannah Stark daughter of John Stark ( b 1717 N.H. was a Colonel in the French & Indian War, by occupation, he practiced law during the week and preached on Sunday. was a son of James Stark b 1695 Scotland d 1754 Stafford Co. Va. married 1716 Elizabeth Thornton, a governess and a sister of Dr. Matthew Thornton 1714/1803 one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence of the United States, his profession was medicine, but he was also a leading figure in the New Hampshire politics 'Ammerman-Renaker' book of DC McMurtry) married May 29, 1756 Hannah Eaves who was a governess to his children from his first marriage.

She married Daniel Ammerman June 23, 1814, mother of Cornelius (Elizabeth Renaker) Ammerman, Jacob Henry (Thomas Ann Bennett) Ammerman, Lillian Forsythe (Calvin Joseph) Martin, & Wm. Renaker Martin.
