GLOUCESTER - Kristine Bernice Amidon, 22, a native of Norfolk and a Gloucester resident for 15 years, died Wednesday, Aug. 25.
Miss Amidon was the manager of IGA Stores in Richmond and Urbanna. She attended Newington Baptist Church.
The 1989 graduate of Gloucester High School played on a district champion girl's varsity basketball team.
Survived by a sister, Kimberly Joyce Blodgett of Newport News; her mother, Catherine Dennis Amidon of Gloucester; her father, Richard Amidon of Durham, N.C.; stepmother, Marie Amidon of Durham; and her grandmother, Countess Garrett of Mathews.
Graveside service was held Friday.
