Boinest Lee Amick PROSPERITY - Boinest Lee Amick, 95, died Monday, April 1, 2013, at White Oak Manor. Born November 2, 1917, in Prosperity, he was a son of the late Bennett L. and Lizzie Fulmer Amick. He was a World War II Army veteran, a lifetime farmer and had retired from Oakland Mill. Mr. Amick was the oldest member of Mt. Pilgrim Lutheran Church. He is survived by sons, Lealon (Brenda) Amick of Prosperity, and Eddie Amick of Columbia; a granddaughter, Brantley (Nathan) Haupt; and great-grandchildren, Spencer, Ann-Marie, Bridget, Maggie Rose and Chloe. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Rosalyn Sheppard Amick, and a granddaughter, Stacy Marie Amick. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Mt. Pilgrim Lutheran Church by the Rev. Dick Albert and the Rev. Elford Roof. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:30 7:30 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Newberry County Animal Shelter, 11494 SC Highway 34, Newberry, SC 29108 or Mt.
