Mrs. Maggie Ames
EAGLE — Services for Mrs. Maggie Ames, 84, Route 1 Eagle, who died Thursday night at her home following a long illness, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Flahiff Chapel, Caldwell, with the Rev. Earl Riddle, Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Canyon Hill.
She was born May 24, 1882, at Steele City, Neb., and was graduated from high school there. She was married to Carl B. Ames March 1, 1905, at Steele City where they farmed until 1908 when they moved to Hollenberg, Kan. In 1922 they moved to Bayard, Neb., and came to Eagle in 1935 where they since had lived. She was a member of the Methodist Church of Steele City. She was preceded in death by a son, Carl Billy Ames in 1956 at Twin Falls, three sisters and four brothers.
Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Lloyd E. Ames, Falls Church, Va., and Paul Ames, Eagle; two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Mitchell, Twin Falls, and Mrs. Ruth Johnson, Rupert; a brother, Ed Zweifel, Fairbury, Neb.; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
