She worked outside of the home at varied occupations, including working editing and proofreading at Knowlton-Mcleary Co.
Her hobbies included woodworking and painting and her favorite time was spent with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Collis Ames of Farmington; sons,
Christopher Carsten and his wife Stella of Sherman TX and Randolph Carsten and his wife, Amy of West Farmington; siblings: Gerald Webber and Shirley WItherall of the Farmington area; two grandchildren: Rachel Bell and her husband, Justin and Catherine Carsten. She was predeceased by a grandson, Zachary Carsten and siblings Dena Brooks and Harold Webber.
