HAHIRA – A. L. Amerson, 88, of Hahira died at a north Georgia hospital early today after an illness of several months.
He was born in Soperton but had lived in the Hahira community for the past 50 years. He was a farmer and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. A. J. Williams, Sr. of Hahira; four sons, Roscoe J. Amerson of Valdosta, D. B. Amerson of Hahira, B. J. Amerson of Panama City, Fla., and H. L. Amerson of Lakeland, Fla.; 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services are to be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Martin Funeral Home. Burial is to be in Friendship Cemetery.
