SUMMERFIELD — Clayton Emil AmEnde, 90, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013.

Born Nov. 11, 1923, in Rockville, CT, Mr. AmEnde served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. A Protestant, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10689, Ellington, CT, and the Elks Club, Rockville.

Survivors include his sons Gary, Lakeland, Bruce, Manchester, CT, and Mark, Summerfield; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 29, at Beyers Funeral Home & Crematory, Lady Lake Chapel, followed by a funeral at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Alan Holden officiating.

Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.

The funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. AmEnde is survived by 3 sons: Gary (Doran) AmEnde, Lakeland, FL; Bruce (Barbara) AmEnde, Manchester, CT and Mark (Barbara Williamson) AmEnde, Summerfield, FL; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held at the Lady Lake Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home on Friday, November 29, 2013 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM with Dr. Alan Holden, officiating. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.

A visitation will be held at the Lady Lake Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home on Friday, November 29, 2013 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.

Services
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM with Dr. Alan Holden, officiating following the visitation.

Interment
Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at 1:00 PM.
