Born Nov. 11, 1923, in Rockville, CT, Mr. AmEnde served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. A Protestant, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10689, Ellington, CT, and the Elks Club, Rockville.
Survivors include his sons Gary, Lakeland, Bruce, Manchester, CT, and Mark, Summerfield; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 29, at Beyers Funeral Home & Crematory, Lady Lake Chapel, followed by a funeral at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Alan Holden officiating.
Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
The funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

Clayton Emil AmEnde, 90, Summerfield, FL, died on Wednesday, November 27, 2013. He was born in Rockville, CT. He was a U.S. Navy WWII veteran, a member of VFW Post 10689 in Ellington, CT; the Elks Club in Rockville, CT; and enjoyed golf, pool and bowling. He was Protestant by faith.
