Monday, January 30, 1961, Jefferson City, Mo.

Sam Ambrose, 68, Iberia, died at his home at 2:15 a.m. Saturday after a short illness.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in an Iberia Funeral Home with Virgil Smith, Church of Christ minister officiating. Burial will be in the Iberia Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Opal; three sons, Garland of Willow Springs, Roy Glen, of Pryor, Okla., and Doral of Bakersfield, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Kathleen Wienel, of Fort Riley, Kan.; a sister, Mrs. Betty Frazer, of Needles, Calif.; four brothers, C.F. Ambrose Jr. and Armyl Ambrose, both of Iberia, T.W. Ambrose of Osceola and Norman Ambrose of Prairie Home; and 17 grandchildren.
