She was a self-employed hairdresser and had formerly been employed by Agway, Ligonier. Betty was a member of Waterford United Methodist Church.
Betty was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Edwin G. Ankney; and a sister, Ruth Nicely.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Thomas F. Ambrose; three children, Tammi Kostley and her husband, Len, Thomas Ambrose Jr. and his wife, April, and Tanya Huwalt and her husband, Ed, all of Ligonier; 13 grandchildren, Autumn and Jesse Kostley, Lexie Ambrose and Joe, Tom, Patrick, Kathy, Christopher, Joshua, Anthony, Grady, Rachel and Nathaniel Huwalt; two sisters, Thelma Heide, of Jeannette, and Lois Kinsey, of Waterford; and numerous nieces and nephews.
