AMBRO STEPHEN MARTIN died tragically while jet-skiing at Suisun Bay on July 15, 2001. He was 42. A lifelong Bay Area resident, born on May 14, 1959, Stephen was an electrician for Capital Systems Inc. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed jet-skiing, scuba diving, riding dirt bikes and gardening. Stephen was a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend who will be deeply missed. He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 11 years, Lori Ann Perfetto-Ambro of Fremont; children, Jessica Ambro of Modesto, Dylan Ambro of Fremont and Tawny Ambro of Fremont; mother and father, Jack and Shirley Ambro; step-mother, Shirley Campbell Ambro; father and mother-in-law, Michael and Marilu Perfetto; sister, Karen Ilmberger of Castro Valley; Wendy Campbell and Dana Campbell, both of San Ramon; brothers, Mitchell Ambro and Andrew Ambro, both of Castro Valley; brothers-in-law, Michael Perfetto and Dustin Perfetto; nephews, Benjamin and Eric Ilmberger; many loving extended family and cherished friends. Visitation for Stephen will be 4 PM to 8 PM on Thursday at Hillside Alliance Church, 944 Central Blvd., Hayward. Funeral services will be 10 AM Friday morning at the church.
