Lona A. Ashford, 91, of Paris, died at 9:31 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2000, at Christus St. Joseph's Hospital.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 18, in Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Othoe Stegall officiating.
Burial will be in Red Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
She was born September 10, 1908, in Powderly to L.M. Alvord and Golda Christine Daughtrey Alvord.
She attended Powderly schools, was a homemaker, and member of Powderly Church of God.
She married Avert Washburn Ashford in 1927 in Powderly. He died on June 11, 1972.
Surviving is a son, Malcolm Ashford, and wife, Martha of Fort Worth; a brother, J.B. (Katherine)Alvord of Paris; a sister, Opal Ramsey of Paris; three grandchildren, Mark Ashford & Lisa Ashford of Fort Worth, and Pam Williamson of Bartlesville, OK; three great-grandchildren, Daniel & Sarah Williamson, and Heather Cleveland and husband Jimmy, all of Bartlesville, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Zoel Ramsey, Lucky Ramsey, David Alvord, Lynn Ramsey, Kurt Ramsey, and Ben Ramsey.
