PATRICIO M. "CHICO" ALVAREZ
Patricio M. Alvarez, better known as "Chico", died May 4, 2007, in Boise City, Oklahoma.
Alvarez, 71, was born March 17, 1936, in Colina Spanian, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Elojico and Cruz Alvarez.
He was reared in Mexico and came to the United States as a young man. He lived in the Plainview, Texas area, for a number of years, before coming to Cimarron County in the early 1970's, where he made his home.
He enjoyed watching baceball, and wrestling, and having family and friends around him.
He worked for various farmers in Cimarron County.
He attended Boise City's, Good Sheperd Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Elojico, Robert and Jose.
He is survived by his wife, Dora, of the home; two step-sons, Raymond Hernandez, Elkhart, Kansas, and Pete Hernandez Jr., Clayton, New Mexico; two step-daughters, Shirley Harkins, Boise City, Oklahoma, and Josie Talbert, Elkhart, Kansas; four brothers, Steve, of Tulia, Texas, Alex, of Clovis, New Mexico; Tongo of El Paso, Texas, and Mango, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three sisters, Irma Alvarez, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Petie Alvarez, Colnia Spanian, Chihuahua, Mexico, and Catherina Ferro, of Plainview, Texas, numerous step grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial services were Saturday, May 12, 2007 at the Cimarron Mortuary Chapel, Boise City, Oklahoma.
