Ida Inez Fulton Altman, 87, widow of Willard "Bill" Clarence Altman, died Friday, August 5, 2011, at Hospice of Charleston.
Mrs. Altman was born in Andrews on October 12, 1923, a daughter of the late James Alva Fulton and Bernice Ida Ivey Fulton.
She graduated from Andrews High School and was an accomplished seamstress in both clothing and home décor. Mrs. Altman was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Andrews, where she enjoyed Mrs. Hinson's Sunday school class. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker.
Surviving are: a son, James "Jimmy" Allen Altman (Rachel) of Summerville; two grandchildren, Kristopher Altman and Rebecca Altman; and four sisters, Alverta Watson and Betty Cox, both of Andrews, Nell Easler of Greeleyville and Emily Knobeloch (John) of Orangeburg.
Funeral services will be at eleven o'clock on Monday morning, August 8, 2011, at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Donald P. Sapp. Burial will follow at Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening, August 7, 2011, at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home from five until seven o'clock.
