Edward Herman Altheuser, 82, of Westphalia, died Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at Capital Region Medical Center.

He was born on July 11, 1922 in Westphalia, the son of Herman Gustav and Mary Wilhelmina Kleffner Altheuser.

Mr. Altheuser was employed with the Missouri Pacific Railroad and in construction work in earlier years, and later with Barnes Hospital in St. Louis where he retired in 1987.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia.

Survivors include one brother, Bernard G. Altheuser, Jefferson City; two sisters, Caroline M. Starke, Frankenstein, MO; and Mary P. Altheuser, Westphalia; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and John Altheuser; and three sisters, Loretta, Clara, and Agnes Altheuser.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2005, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia, with the Rev. Philip M. Kane officiating.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Westphalia.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 22nd, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, Westphalia, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic School, POB 205, Westphalia, MO 65108; or a charity of the donor's choice.
