The Daily Oklahomas (Oklahoma City, OK) September 5, 2003 > Alvin E. Alsup, passed away on August 31. Alvin was born in Oklahoma City on June 22, 1929, to Ealston and Anglea Alsup. He was the first of four children. Alvin attended Central High School and graduated in 1948. He was a member of a singing quartet that toured the city. Alvin joined the Army and served in the Korean War as a MP. He attended Central State Teachers College in Edmond, where he received a bachelors degree in History. His two sisters and brother preceded him in death. Three nephews and niece survive him. Lyndon Brady, of Oklahoma City, RaLayna Hurley of Norman, Daylon Brady of San Antonio, and Glyn Brady of Yukon. Alvin was a kind gentle man. He loved cats. A graveside memorial service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery on Saturday, September 6th at 11 a.m. Mercer-Adams Funeral Home.
