Charlie W. Alsup, 56, died Saturday afternoon, July 5, in Giles County Hospital.
Services were held Monday afternoon, July 7, at 2 o'clock in the chapel of Carr and Erwin Funeral Home with Mr. Andy Brown and Mr. Van Bowers, Church of Christ ministers, officiating. Burial was in Stella Cemetery.
A native of Giles County, Mr. Alsup was born August 4, 1913, the son of Mrs. Mazzie Alsup of Auburndale, Fla. and the late Ervin Alsup.

He was an employee of the Genesco Corp. for twenty-five years and a member of the Stella Church of Christ.
Survivors in addition to his mother, Mrs. Selma Pigg Alsup; one son, David Alsup, Pulaski; one step-son, Robert C. McGill, Pulaski; one daughter, Mrs. Judy Crabtree of Prospect; one step-daughter, Mrs. Helen Copen, Germany; one brother, Osteen Alsup, Pulaski; one sister, Mrs. John Kelly, Florida; one half-sister, Mrs. Johnnie Harrison, Pulaski; and nine grandchildren.
Carr and Erwin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
