Alice C. Alspach, age 90, of Huntington, passed away at 3:35 a.m. Friday (April 11, 2014) at Markle Health and Rehabilitation.
Family will receive friends 3-7 p.m. Monday (April 14, 2014) at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (April 15, 2014) at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Major Gerald Smelser officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the funeral service.
Burial will be in Gardens of Memory in Huntington County.
Preferred memorials are to Salvation Army in Huntington, in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington.
Alice was born on August 23, 1923 in Fort Wayne, the daughter of Claude and Lillian (Hocker) Cannon. She married Robert A. Alspach on November 20, 1941. He preceded her in death on April 9, 1998. Alice retired from Magnetek in Huntington in 1988. She attended Salvation Army Church in Huntington.
Survivors include one son - Robert L. (Janell) Alspach of Huntington; her daughter - Kay J. (Jim) Voigt of LaGrange; one sister - Rosemary Burley of Markle; seven grandchildren - Darla D. Kingery of Huntington, Heather H. Kauffman of Roanoke, Robert Andrew Alspach of Huntington, and Paul Voigt, Jason Voigt, Michael Voigt, and Jennifer Manning, all of Fort Wayne; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Alice is preceded in death by one son - Gerald Wayne Alpach, one brother - Robert Cannon, and two sisters - Doris Schlaugroff and Mary Alice Cannon.
