Aldora Alma Alsop, 86, of New Britain Ave., Unionville, widow of John I. Alsop, died Monday, (August 6, 2001) at her home.
Born in Hartford, March 22, 1915, daughter of the late William H. and Aldora A. (Rivers) Baxter, she resided in Unionville for many years. Prior to retiring, Aldora was a foster parent for the daycare program at the Village For Families and Children in Hartford for many years.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Alan I. and Mary A. Alsop of Thompson; her daughter, Dori Alsop of Minneapolis, MN; five grandchildren, Alan and David Rixon of Rutland, VT, Lawrence, Randolph and Leigh Stillday of Minneapolis, MN; three great-grandchildren, Daren and Melissa Rixon and Evan Stillday.
Friends may call at the Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rte. 4, Unionville, Thursday 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted in the Ahern Funeral Home, Thursday, 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill.
