LIVINGSTON - Helen M. Alsbury, 74, of Livingston died at 3:10 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Staunton.
She was born December 23, 1935, in Taylorville, the daughter of Henry and Lena (Dunn) Rohdemann. She married Bernard J. Alsbury on April 17, 1954, in Taylorville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bernard J. Alsbury, on March 15, 2008; two sons, Michael Joseph Alsbury, who died in infancy, and Roger Bernard Alsbury; one sister, Dora Mae Kidd; and four brothers, Jack Rohdemann, Leroy Rohdemann, John Rohdemann and Bruce Rohdemann.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara A., wife of Mark Yattoni, Morrisonville, IL; two grandchildren, Matthew Yattoni, Morrisonville, IL, and Andrea Yattoni, Springfield, IL; one sister, Dorothy Gatton, Taylorville, IL; and two sisters-in-law, Aarie Rohdemann, Pawnee, IL, and Becky Rohdemann, Stonington, IL.
Helen was a caregiver and provided loving care to those that were homebound and needed daily care, help and transportation at their homes and around the community.
She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Livingston, IL and former member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Taylorville, IL.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 22, 2010, at Lesicko Funeral Home, 271 N. Second Street, Livingston, IL 62058. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 22, 2010, at Lesicko Funeral Home, Livingston, IL, with Chaplain Bax Maggart officiating. Internment will be at Hall Cemetery near Blue Mound, IL.
