The daughter of the late Anthony and Olivia Antuno Pagano, she was born Jan. 13, 1912 in New York City, N.Y.
Mrs. Alongi was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
Survivors include her daughters, Sally and husband Stan Clark of New Windsor; Josephine Ontiverous and Toni Marie Clark both of South Carolina; brothers, Albert and Anthony Pagano both of Marlboro; sisters, Angie Hill of Monticello; Josephine Yonnone and Vee Frederico both of Newburgh; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Salvatore Alongi; four sisters, Vinnie Celest, Sadie Meyers, Yolanda Durazio and Rose Croyle; and two brothers, Sam and Michael Pagano.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Jan. 22 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at The DiDonato Funeral Home, 1290 Route 9W, Marlboro.
The funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Jan. 23 St. Mary's Church, with Father Edward Bader officiating.
Entombment will be Monday in Cedar Hill Mausoleum, Middlehope.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
