Carmela Aloe, age 82, of Ambridge, died Monday, June 3, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rocco Aloe; her son, Pasquale Aloe, whom she loved and adored; parents, Salvatore and Giuseppina Aloe, and siblings, Frank Aloe and Domenica Lombardo.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Laura (Christopher) Shirey of Ellicott City, MD. She was the great-grandmother of Mason and Kendall Shirey; sister of Rocco (Margaret) Aloe of Ambridge and Vincenza (Giuseppe) Zucco of Italy; sister-in-law of Costanza Aloe of Ambridge and Salvatore Lombardo of Italy; aunt of Father Paolo Lombardo, Maria Grazia Grassie, Alberto and Carmelo Zucco, Sal Aloe, Josephine Mazzotta, Anna Marie Testa, Robert Aloe, Lisa Aloe, Janice Aloe-Kazalas and Pina Aloe, and many great nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. in the KASPER-HAHN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 547 Eighth St., Ambridge, (724-266-2549). A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the Good Samaritan Church. Burial will be in Economy Cemetery.
The Christian Mothers and Ladies Guild will recite a rosary Thursday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
Carmela will be greatly missed by her kitchen family of Good Samaritan Parish for hours of devotion.
The family requests memorial contributions to Good Samaritan Church, 725 Glenwood Ave., Ambridge, PA 15003, and St. Jude Shrine, 512 W. Saratoga St., Baltimore, MD 21201.
