Antonio Duarte Almeida Resident of San Pablo Antonio Duarte Almeida was born Dec. 4, 1920, in Caneira, Mamarrosa in Portugal. He immigrated to the United States in 1944 and made San Pablo his residence until his peaceful passing at the age of 92, at home on March 15, 2013. Antonio will be remembered for many reasons, whether it was for helping others because of his deep appreciation of how he had been helped by others throughout his life, making wine with family and friends, or being an avid outdoor sportsman. There was no greater pleasure for him than being on a boat with a fishing rod. He participated in numerous business, civic and social organizations over the years, including the San Pablo Holy Ghost Assoc. and Council 5-C of the Luso-American Fraternal Federation. He is preceded in death by his mother, Rosa Jesus de Gra‡a; father, Manuel H. Almeida; sisters, Gloria and Adozinda, brother Evaristo and son Albert. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 65 years, Elvira, son David, daughter Elaine and brother Manuel. Friends and family are invited to attend the funeral services at Holy Angels in San Pablo with visitation on Wednesday, March 20th, at 5:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Thursday, March 21st at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Church. Following Mass, final blessings will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
