Mrs. Betty McCrary Almand, age 82, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-five years, Frank G. Almand; parents, Joe Brown McCrary and Gladys McCrary; sisters, Joyce White and Carolyn Cavession; and grandson, Simon Joseph Peters. She is survived by her daughters, Jeannie A. Gibby, Cumming, GA and Wendy Pierce, Buford, GA; two grandchildren, Luke Peters, Flowery Branch, GA and Emily Pierce, Gainesville, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Oscar Flanigan, Covington, GA; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Charlie White, Covington, GA and Donald and Ellen Almand, Cleveland, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Almand was born December 31, 1935 in Decatur, GA. She was a 1953 graduate of Southwest DeKalb High School. She was a retired sales clerk from Rich’s Department Store and also Macy’s Department Store after twenty years of service. She was of the Baptist Faith. Graveside service will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Eastview Cemetery, 1184 Scott Street, Conyers, GA 30207. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
