Evelyn E. ALLYN Of Renton, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2005 at her home, after almost 2 years of loving care provided by her family. She was 92. Born February 19, 1913 in Seattle, she lived in Renton since the early 1930's. Mrs. Allyn retired in 1992 having worked as a professional musician since the age of 13 and serving as Secretary-Treasurer and President of the Renton Musicians Union Local 360 for 37 years. She enjoyed travel associated with her profession and membership in the American Federation of Musicians, jam sessions, music, bingo, gardening, reading, and spending time with her family and close friends. Evelyn was the most loving Grandmother and greatest friend to all who her life touched. She was devoted to caring for others and never questioned what she could give of herself. There was no end to her generosity, compassion or love. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Gerald in 1979; daughter Geraldine Tremlin-Calta in 1991; and grandson James Tremlin in 1996. She is survived by her grandchildren, Janie Bovee (James) and Gary Tremlin (Lyne); great-grandchildren, Charles Desmond, Elizabeth Desmond, Jenalee Tremlin-van der Waal, Bryce Tremlin, Shayne Curry and Jacqueline Tremlin. She is also survived by 4 great great-grandchildren, Halie, Kaia, Samantha and Carter and many nieces and nephews. We miss you and love you Nana, but you will always remain in our hearts. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Providence for the compassionate and dedicated care that helped make her final months comfortable and the best that they could be. Visitation will be on Saturday, April 16, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Faull-Stokes Mortuary in Renton. Graveside Services will be Saturday, April 16, at 2 p.m. at Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton.
