Last Friday noon Mrs. Jared Allwein, (late Miss Alice Stanley) died, after about twelve hours' illness. Her husband and she spent the preceding evening in visiting friends. Soon after their return Mrs. Allwein was seized by severe cramps, followed by convulsions, which soon produced death. Less than a year ago she wore the bridal robe, today she is in her shroud, coffin and grave. Her husband has now been twice bereft of his dearest friend, and on both occasions suddenly, and has the sympathies of many warm hearts. The deceased was extensively and favorably known, and her sudden death, at about 37 years of age, has sent sad feelings and solemn thoughts to her many associates.
