OBITUARY
Friday Rites For Pioneer Of Colorado City


COLORADO CITY — Mrs. H. P. Allmond, 93, died in the Root Memorial Hospital here this morning following an illness of several days.

Mrs. Allmond was born in Pine Bluff, Ark., June 15, 1866, and was married to H. P. Allmond in 1883. He passed away in 1907. Mr. and Mrs. Allmond came to Colorado City to make their home in 1905. She was a member of the First Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted at the First Methodist Church at 11 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Clarence Collins officiating. Burial will be in the Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Kiker and Son Funeral Home.

Survivors include two sons, Lon and M. H. Allmond, and two daughters, Mrs. Homer Key and Mrs. Jim Costin, all of Colorado City; a brother, J. E. Hogan, Palestine, Texas; a sister, whose name was not immediately made available but who resides in Benton, Ark.; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
