Cecil June Allmon passed away February 1, 2010, at Mitchell Manor Convalescent Center in McAlester, Okla. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2010, in the Burkburnett Cemetery, with family visitation Thursday, February 4, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett, Texas. CJ was born July 24, 1927, to Pickney and Ida Pearl Osborne Allmon in Healdon, Okla. Six months after birth he moved to Durant, Okla., where he attended school. He served in the Navy during the World War II and the Reserves for eight years. He worked for Mobil Oil Company in the New Mexico and Texas district for 34 years and retired as a drilling supervisor in 1985. He and El Wanda Clyde Wall were married in Sept. 1951 in Clovis, N.M. They moved to Burkburnett, Texas, in 1956 were he was a member of the Central Baptist Church, the Church Bus driver and Sunday School teacher. He was a Cub Master for the Cub Scouts. President of the Red Horse Raiders for retirees of Mobil employees. He and his wife enjoyed traveling and visiting family for several years during retirement. CJ loved fishing, hunting, golfing, and camping. They moved to Archer City in 2005 to be near their daughter Lori and then in 2008 moved to McAlester, Okla., to be near their daughter Stacy. He lived in Mitchell Manor for the last six months of his life. Preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and five brothers. He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Allmon of McAlester, Okla.; one son, Randall Allmon and wife Donna of Layton, Utah; two daughters, Stacy Hardy and husband Arthur Walker of Lake Eufaula, Okla., and Lori Geis and husband Vernon of Archer City, Texas. He had four grandchildren, Justin Hardy of San Francisco, Calif., Adam Hardy of Shawnee, Okla., Jessica and Katie Geis of Archer City, Texas. He had two step-grandchildren, Andrea Trujillo of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Sean Bowden serving in Iraq; and one great-grand-child, Nicholas Trujillo of Layton, Utah.
