MACON - Elizabeth Dixon "Almond Joy" Allman, 75, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Dr. Otis Andrews will officiate.
Mrs. Allman was born in Irwinton, Georgia, the daughter of the late Cosby and Belle Reece Dixon. She was a retired house parent from the Youth Development Center.
Mrs. Allman is survived by her daughters, Catherine Newman of Jones County, Sherry Lawson of Jones County and Gloria Allman of Macon; grandchildren, Brandi McClure, Taylor Mawajdeh, Alissa Newman; four great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Annette Burrows of Byron; beloved dog, Max.
