Born in Monroe, Louisiana to Bert and Clara Hildreth Brasell, she was a pastor's wife and a missionary for over 27 years. A longtime member of the Woman's Missionary Union, she was a career Baptist missionary, serving in Tanganyika, Kenya, France, South Africa and Botswana. She also served as secretary to the Dean of Students and then, the President, of Ouachita Baptist University.
Preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Carolyn Pool, she is survived by her husband of 63 years, Rev. Clarence A. Allison; son, Mark Allison and wife, Becky of Maumelle; daughter, Kay Maunder and husband, Steven of Bahama, North Carolina; and five grandchildren, Jeffrey Allison, Christopher Allison, Jordan Maunder, Trevor Maunder and Callie Maunder.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 30 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Graveside services will be Thursday, May 1 at 1:30 p.m. at Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery in Walnut Ridge.
