My journey began on December 13, 1928 as the first-born to Lillian and Dennis Hilderbrand in the first hospital built in Fort Defiance, Arizona on the Navaho Indian Reservation.
My wanderings had me living in Arizona, Idaho, Texas, and then in Oregon, where Bob and I met and wed. We lived, worked and retired in Long Beach, CA and then moved to Cassville, Missouri in 1983. My working years started in the late 1950's as a medical receptionist for a private practice in Long Beach, CA and ended with H&R Block in Cassville, MO in the spring of 2003.
Those still traveling down the trail are our children; daughter, Clementine and her husband Greg Ridgley; son, Robert Darrell Allison II and his wife Robin; daughter, Vicki Jo and her husband Tom Nisbet; and daughter, Kathleen Denise Kingsland; five grandsons; two granddaughters; and 17 great-grandchildren; three brothers; four sisters; their spouses and families; numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins; along with many friends everywhere.
Mama was the strong link that kept us all connected. Let us not let the chain fall apart and strive to stay in touch with each other.
Special thanks for the care she received at the Waterford on the South Hill, Sacred Heart Medical Center, to all the wonderful doctors, and their personnel who attended to her these past seven years.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 9 from 9:00AM -" 8:00PM at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA. A "Celebration of Life" will begin at 12:00 noon at the funeral home followed by interment at Spokane Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Spokane/Cheney Rd at 2:00PM.
