Benjamin Allison
Benjamin Allison, 73, of Hector (Pope County), died November 23, 2000, at Siloam Springs Hospital at Siloam Springs.
Born July 17, 1927, at Hector, he was the son of the late Theron Claude and Sadie Elmira Cotton Allison.
He attended Hector Free Will Baptist Church and Cedar Grove Assembly of God church. He served in the Navy during World War II and was a retired Millwright with International Paper Company at Pine Bluff.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Bowen.
Survivors include, a wife, Emma Charlene Langford Allison, whom he married on June 19, 1976; a daughter, Marsha Sites of Roe; two sons, Mike Allison of Roe and Thomas Allison of Hector; three sisters, Velma Allison of Russellville, Voris Allison of Merced, California, Flora Henderson of Hot Springs; three brothers, Floy Allison of Russellville, Paul Allison of Hector and Lyndall "James" Allison; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Assembly of God church at Hector with the Revs. Bob Caldwell and Charles King officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery at Hector by the Humphrey Funeral Home of Russellville.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
