OBITUARY: unknown newspaper, Millersburg, Holmes Co., OH. Feb, 1907, pg.

Sanford Llewellyn Allison

Sanford Llewellyn Allison, son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Allison now deceased, was born Feb. 17, 1860 in Monroe Township Holmes county, Ohio. Died at his home Jan. 28, 1907, his age being 46 years, 11 months, and 11 days. Mr. Allison had been in his usual health until Friday evening after he had eaten his supper, he was attacked with a severe pain in the side and stomach, that proved by examination to be an ulcer, which caused him intense suffering until he was called from this earth, to the other shore. On July 29, 1885 he was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Miss Ida Shoup of Wayne county, by the Rev. Low. As a result of this union two sons and three daughters blessed their happy marriage, one daughter dying in infancy. By strenuous exertion he labored diligently, sacrificing many things for the sake of his wife and children. He was of an unusual disposition, always cheerful, patient and contented with whatever his loft chanced to be, always disinclined to saying biter things, that would wound the feelings of his friends. He yet had that clear conception of right and duty, which he always impressed every one with, that gave him an honest, sterling character that men always impressed every one with, that gave him and honest, sterling character that men always like to know, and is worthy of imitation. He was a kind, loving husband and father, always trying in some way to make the home pleasant and attractive for his wife and children. His life was full of good deeds and chartable acts. He was a member of the board of education for some time, then treasurer, afterwards elected Justice of the Peace which office he held at time of death. He leaves a wife, four children, Zanna, Lloyd, Benj. and Mable, one brother, Mr. Vene Allison and a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn his departure. Funeral services were held Jan. 30, 1907 at the Welcome Christian church, conducted by Rev. Tilock, the pastor. Interment at the Welcome cemetery in Monroe township.
