OBITUARY: Holmes County Farmer, Millersburg, Holmes Co., OH, Thursday, 14 Jul 1910.
Mrs. Harvey Allison of Monroe township died June 21st after an illness of three months. She was born Feb. 7, 1856, being 54 years, 4 months and 14 days of age. She was married to James Harvey Allison, Nov. 8, 1877. No children were born to this union. They have a nephew that they took when 4 years of age, Harvey Patterson, who has received parental care at their hands. She was known in the community for her character and helpful spirit and the royal welcome she always gave those who came to enjoy their hospitality. She was a member of the Church of Christ and united at Killbuck when quite young. She was active in church work at Welcome and as a token of her worth in the Master's service, received a life membership certificate from the C. W. B. M. Auxiliary and took great delight in that honor in her departure. She leaves to mourn her death, a husband, nephew, one sister, Mrs. A. M. Bird of Barberton, and many dear relatives and true friends. The church and community have aided the sorrowing by their sympathies expressed during the sickness and in the last hours that brought the gloom of sorrow to their home. The funeral services were conducted by W. Walker of Killbuck assisted by J. P. Allison of Cleveland and A. M. Bird of Barberton. She lived a consistent christian life and died in the faith she hath done what she could.
