Gladys G. Allison, 82, Millersburg, died Friday, July 31, at Altercare Nursing Home after a long illness. Graveside services were held Monday, Aug. 3, at Oak Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. David Carrick officiating. Born in 1904 in Holmes County to Charles and Celesta Wachtel, she was married to Payne Allison, who died in January 1963. She was a member of Millersburg Christian Church and a former employee of Boyd's Shoe Store in Millersburg. Surviving are two children, Mrs. Robert (Donna) Hitchcock of Millersburg and Robert P. Allison of Millersburg; four grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; a brother, Cecil Wachtel of McKeesport, Pa.; and a sister, Mrs. Frank (Kathleen) Taggart of Ashland. A son, Gary, died previously.
