Carol Fern Allison, daughter of Milo and Hazel Snyder Hunter, was born August 19, 1933, in Joliet, Illinois and departed this life December 11, 2010, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-seven years.
On December 30, 1950, she was united in marriage with Jack Allison and to this union was born four children, all surviving. Jack preceded her in death.
In 1974, Carol moved to the Lake of the Ozarks, after spending the majority of her life in Illinois, where she was owner and operator of Sha-Ron Resort for four years. For many years following she managed additional resort property. Carol had very strong work ethic and paid attention to every detail. She was successful in all areas and well respected by her employees and co-workers.
When she wasn't tending to her resort properties, she loved driving her motorcycle on long road trips. She also enjoyed completing jigsaw puzzles, baking, sewing and knitting. Carol was a "grandmother to many" and always welcomed people with open arms into her loving home. Her family meant the world to her and she treasured every precious moment spent with them.
Carol is survived by one son, James "Jim" Allison and his wife Ronda of Lebanon, MO; three daughters, Candice Wilson of Lake Ozark, MO, Pamela Walters and her husband Wally of Camdenton, MO and Vicki Hartenstein and her husband Jonathan, also of Lake Ozark, MO; one brother, Glenn Hunter and his wife June of College Plaza, WA; seven grandchildren, Casey M.Wilson and his wife Rebecca, Bradley Allison and his wife Miranda, Jonathan I. Hartenstein, Cristin M. Badlato and her husband Kenny, Jeff Allison, Taylor Allison, and Corey M. Wilson; three great-grandchildren, Jordan Wilson, Dylan Wilson, and Alivia Allison; other relatives and many friends.
Carol was also preceded in death by one sister, Marjorie.
A wonderful mother, loving grandmother, cherished sister and loyal friend. Those who had the pleasure of knowing her will miss the laughter, but cherish each memory. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered forever.
