Emory Allison Claimed At 72
Emory Allison, who served 16 years as Municipal Court bailiff, died Sunday at 4:45 a.m. at Delp Lake Manor in North Lima after a long illness. He was 72. Mr. Allison made his home with a granddaughter, Mrs. Ann Quinlan of the Glenmoor Cannons Mills Rd. He served as bailiff under the late Judge Frank E. Grosshans, who left office about 11 years ago. Mr. Allison resided in this area about 50 years. He was born in Meigs County, son of the late George Allison and Rebecca Arnott Allison. He was a member of the Calvary Methodist Church and the East Liverpool Masonic Lodge 681. He leaves a son, George W. Allison of East Palestine, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home by the Rev. Carl Beighley. Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight.
