COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Mattie Lou Anderson, 99, of Nashville, formerly of Putnam County, will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. today, Tuesday, Feb. 23, and from 1:30 - 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Anderson died on Monday, Feb. 22, 1999, at Nashville Memorial Hospital.
She was born on March 31, 1899, in Putnam County to the late Roy and Angeline Herron Allison. Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker and a member of Silver Point Church of Christ.
Her family includes two daughters, Bonnie Burton and Bobbie Maynard, both of Nashville; four sons, Alfred Anderson of Cleveland, Ohio, Claude and Clay Anderson, both of Port Richey, Fla., and Alvin Anderson of Nashville; five grandchildren, A.B. Anderson, Gary Burton, Cethey Chunn, Laura Paula, and Coleen Jenuine; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ned Anderson; an infant daughter, Maudie Anderson; brothers and sisters, Hattie Thomas, Everett, Dow, Ethel, and Helmon Allison, and Dollie Nash.
Bro. Clarence Deloach will officiate at the services.
